Carol Stream, IL April 20, 2015 - The Evangelical Press Association held its annual convention in Colorado on April 8-10, 2015 where the 2015 Awards of Excellence and Higher Goals Awards were presented. Representing nine brands, the global media ministry of Christianity Today received 49 awards.
Each year the Evangelical Press Association contest hosts two annual contests that honor the best work done by EPA-member publications during the past calendar year. President and CEO Harold Smith responded to this year's awards, "It's a great encouragement to all of us to be so recognized by our partners in ministry. And it frankly motivates us to keep pressing for excellence as we create quality Christian content across a variety of media platforms."
Of particular note is the recognition that Christianity Today's newest publication, The Behemoth, received. Launched in July 2014, The Behemoth took home five awards, including an Award of Merit for best general digital publication and a first place Fiction award for the piece "The True Man" by Mark Galli.
This unique, all-digital publication aims to help people behold the glory of God all around them, whether it be science, history, theology, or personal narrative.
